E-Bike FAQ

How does an e-bike work? E-bikes are equipped with an electric motor, battery, and pedal-assist system. The motor provides additional power as you pedal, making uphill climbs and long distances easier and more enjoyable.

How far can I go on a single charge? The range depends on factors like the battery capacity, terrain, rider weight, and level of pedal assistance used. Most of our e-bikes offer a range of 30-80 miles per charge.

How long does it take to charge an e-bike battery? Charging times vary but typically range between 4-6 hours for a full charge.


Legal 

Are e-bikes legal in the UK? Yes, e-bikes are legal in the UK if they meet the following criteria:

The motor must not exceed 250 watts.

The bike’s assistance must cut off at speeds over 15.5 mph.

Riders must be at least 14 years old.

Do I need a license or insurance? No license, tax, or insurance is required for e-bikes that meet UK regulations. However, we recommend checking local guidelines for specific use cases.


Ordering and Payment

How do I place an order? Browse our collection, select your desired e-bike, and click "Add to Cart." Follow the checkout process to complete your purchase.

What payment methods do you accept? We accept major credit and debit cards, PayPal, and Klarna for flexible financing options.

Can I cancel or modify my order? Orders can be modified or cancelled within 24 hours of placement. Contact our support team at sales@activepeak.co.uk for assistance.


Shipping and Delivery

How much does shipping cost? We offer free shipping on all e-bike orders over £500 within the UK.

How long will delivery take? Delivery typically takes 3-7 business days. You’ll receive tracking information once your order is dispatched.

Do you ship internationally? At the moment, we only ship within the UK. Stay tuned for updates on international shipping.


Returns and Warranty

What is your return policy? We offer a 30-day return policy for unused e-bikes in their original packaging. Find our returns policy here  

Do your e-bikes come with a warranty? Yes, all our e-bikes come with a 1-year warranty covering the frame, motor, and battery. Additional components may have separate warranties. Refer to the warranty details included with your purchase.

Can I service my e-bike at a local bike shop? Yes, most standard bike shops can handle routine maintenance. For specialized e-bike repairs, we recommend consulting our authorized service centres.
